For those who has never crabbed from a boat this is for you on how we do it on the Reel Kahuna.
This footage was taken Tuesday last week Nov 12th. This was the first time for Stone Fan and Doneli that caught on reel quick after White Cap showed them one time.

Hope you enjoy the footage.

I really liked your video!! Great choice of music, also. I'm new to salt water boating and have a 17' Lund 'lake' boat. On the right day - is such a small boat safe in Bodega Bay? How deep was the water? How much rope for the pots? How long the soak?

Thanks for the inspiration ... looked like you guys had it going on.

Your boat will do fine on a calm days. Depth is a personal preference and the rule of thumb on the rope is to add 20% length. ie. dropping in 100' add 20% and you should be fine. As for soaking time, I like a minimum of 3 hrs. Some will soak overnight but watch out for raiders or missing pots  .
