http://momentoffame.com/photopost/data/501/medium/s_big_ling.jpg ;D This is a picture of a 62 lb ling cod that my partner caught on our last trip to Langara Island. The fish was caught on a white plastic wiggle jig from 180 ft. of water. The fish was a male surprisingly enough. It also had the head of a 10lb salmon in its gut! What an eating machine! If male lings are supposed to be small, I wonder what iind of female this one teamed up with to spawn?

;D We were fishing out of the North Island Lodge. The big ling was taken near the lighthouse. The only problem there is that you have to wait till the wind is down. We limited out on lings, to get our allowed amount of six in possessions, in two morning trips to this area. Check this area out at www.westcoastfishinglodge.com If you go to this site, hit the fishing results link to see what's being caught at the three sattelite lodges.

Spoiled are the fisherman that get to tangle with these creatures of the deep. We all love to be spoiled. My biggest was 65 pounds and that was after I removed the two 5lb pinks hanging in its gullet. I did leave the third in its belly and the 7lb turbot as well. Sometimes I wonder if these would become predatory on divers. Imagine that story!!!!!!!
