I was wondering if crabbing was allowed at the noyo harbor jetty, because I saw a few people using snares there couple years back during August, when the regulations book says it's closed. I've been to Oregon, and their regulations state that crabbing is allowed on jetties, harbors etc. even though the season is closed.

Is this true or not?

You are allowed to crab there all year long. HOWEVER, you can only keep dungeness crabs during their open season.

Unfortunately I'm not much of a crabber so I'm not sure of the open season for them. Check the regs.

There is lots of red and rock crabs there even if it's not dungee season when you go. There's also plenty of rockfish, cabezone, lingcod, and TONS of striped perch from that jetty.
