Anyone fish Capitola Wharf and can tell me what the regulations are?

Do you need a license?
How many poles you can use?
Is crabbing allowed?

Or any site that can provide me with the information be helpful.

Stinger ;)

Public piers are free
I believe you can only have 2 poles. I'm not sure about this though.
Dungeness season is closed, so you can't catch them. Details about how to identify them here.

Well good luck with your fishing.

Pulseczar is right. You don't need a license, as long as you are on the warf. As soon as you go on the beach, you need one. I usually take two poles, one to catch my bait and the other to catch larger fish.

Here is a pretty good link to some information on Capitola Warf.

I have found that the fishing wasn't that great. The warf is a little small and there tends to be a lot of people. You may want to try Santa Cruz pier. There is more room and in my opinion better fishing.

What are you fishing for?

I would also add that parking is a nightmare during the weekends. If you went to capitola during the weekdays it probably wouldn't be so bad, but if you are going on the weekend either get there REALLY early, or go to Santa Cruz instead.
