The Noyo Harbor Jetty is pretty sweet. I caught 29 fat striped perch, an 18" rubberlip, and three greenling - on of them 20+". Also saw three lings landed and two lost while I was there.

I used cooked shrimp on a three way rig for the perch. The lings were caught on anchovies.

Mackerricher is a nice campgound, we didn't stay there but did spend a few hours there. If we were going to camp in Ft Bragg area that is the spot. Cleone Lake is stocked with trout, we saw several caught from shore by the parking lot.By August they will probably be gone, but supposedly there are bass and cats in there. We walked out the jetty (see pic) at Noyo and saw some lady land a small flounder with a worm on a trout pole. You may want to check out one of the charter boats, we had a great time on the one we went out on and are going again this weekend.

CrappieKiller~

Go check out the Noyo Jetty. I landed a phatty ling there a few weeks ago on the first cast!! Check it out, it's fun!

Lake Cleone has some trout in it, but I would not recommend eating them. Go with C&R there. The way I understand it, that lake is full of the runoff from the surrounding pastures. Pastures that are full of horse and cow dung. Just look at the color and smell of the water and decide for yourself :-X

Good luck,
LS
