I will make this a short report... I will add some great photo's to share!!!

Today I fished with Dennis in his Beautiful Duckworth... We stayed between the Rockwall and just Past China Gulch.... Top lined with 1/8 oz and 1/4 oz bullet weights... Going 1.3 to 1.5 GPS... Grubs: White and Yellow caught all the fish... Biggest was 5.2 lbs and 4.0 lbs, the rest were Normal Planter Size...

Early Morning Sunrise... It was a bit chilly this morning, but the heater took off the edge and kept our hands warm...

Our Old Summer Home is needing some repairs....

Dennis Hooked this 5 lbs Bass, we released it unharmed...

The Mouth of China Gulch, the Bathroom is just inside... It's really shallow in there, So please be careful... The Left side going in is really bad...

There was so much Bait in and around the Narrows... This is why it has slowed down a bit... The birds were diving and coming up with little shad minnows in the beaks...

fat fish: Here is a photo of the grubs i use. They are 3" Berkeley Power Grubs... The Colors are: White / Yellow... The Power Eggs are also Berkeley... Just Opposite Set Ups...

No Dodgers / No Flashers I Troll these at 1.3 - 1.5 GPS Speed

These two Setups have put the last 25+ fish in the Boat. I have also added the Bullet Weights, that i use. 1/4 oz & 1/8 oz... I use a 5' leader in Berkeley Trilene Clear in 10#... These will spin a little bit on you, so i use a small Crane Swivel... Hope this Helps...

Dang robbie, you definately have this lake dialed in! Congrats on another banner day. This lake obviously has my number!
Was the water still muddy in the narrows?
And one of the trout we caught had minnows in his mouth still.

Just want to be clear, the bullet weight is above the crane swivel and about 5' above the egg/grub.

Thanks for clearing that up Dennis.... Also don't be afraid to try different colors with different Egg set ups... This has been my go to for a little while now... Try, Firetiger, Orange, Pearl White and Pink have also been great colors... If your not getting bit, change something!!!

Headed there tomorrow. Ill report back how it goes. Using Robbies setup and a few other tricks up my sleeve. Probably going to be in the narrows if anyone else will be there. In a small aluminum klamath. Hope to at least get a few!! :salmon:

Very nice plate of fillets there. The pics of your set up are great. Picture worth a thousand words so they say. What size hook you working with there?

Koke Machine83
02-05-2014, 04:44 PM
Long straight shank worm hook in #2 size... I prefer the Owners Hooks... Just be careful with the light wire hooks, i have had the big fish break them... Just saying... As you can see, i run the hook, opposite of the Tail... I have had the tail get caught in the hook, the other way... I also check my set up every 30 mins, to keep grass and other debris off the lure. Plus it gives me a chance to freshen up the scent...
