Last season I started fishing the upper lower section about the first couple days of May for hot action that was over by the last week of may I believe due to the low flows and the water warming faster. I was gonna start shad fishing the ar in early April this year since we will have low flows but if they close the river that is going to be harder. Anyone else think the shad will be up way early if the flows are low again?

Definitely. And with this warm weather unless we get some cold water.

The hatchery has met its quota so it may not even get closed

They hatchery met their quota a while ago. I thought it was about bed disturbing and too easy access to catch steelies?
So much FUD out there. Hope I they do close it we are all aware and not on the water fishing. Don't wanna be out there and find out the hard way it's been closed.

We should know the decision and what it affects tomorrow.

I'm heading out early, took the day off to get one more day....
If anyone hears the verdict please post up. I'll check the boards on the water.

They should make a no wading ban and let people bank it.
