I am looking into buying a pressure cooker so I can start canning fish. I have heard that All-American is one of the best brands to buy...but I need to know what size to get. I was thinking 25 or 30 qt???
I'd appreciate suggestions from any Sniffer canners...

Thanks!

I just received my new Presto Pressure Cooker. I ordered the 23 qt.

If it holds two tiers of 8 pints or a total of 16 pints you are good to go!

Good luck with yours SuperD...I look forward to hearing about the results...and recipes! ;)

Thanks MM...so the 25qt should be plenty. It holds 19 standard pints or 16 wide mouth pints.

I have two All American Cookers one 25qt, one 30qt, the 30qt was my grand fathers and is better than 60 years old and is still cooking just great. That's the beauty of them, everything is still a stocked replacement part.

When you can fish in pints you will want to use the wide mouth jars! Since it takes 3.5 to 4 hours a batch I have my buddies bring over their fish and jars and we make a day out of it.
