Late post but couldn't upload gopro vids til now , so echo lake is beautiful. First time there. My buddy just got a float tube and I took my yak for some freshly planted trout on Sunday. Got there early and launched (they have free inspections here, but no host til nine). I was warned since the sign said motorized watercraft. Nice hosts and fishing was on the hook!! Even the bankers were hammering em. I got 14 to the yak and my buddy had four in three and a half hours. Perfect temps there while scorching down here. They liked a dodger and wiggle hoochie tipped w a piece of crawler.

Very cool post Jeff. I always wanted to check that lake out. A lot of people don't know but they use to put kokanee in that lake. Not sure if they still do.

Mmmmmmm...kokanee. I did catch about five six or seven inch cuttys though. No kokes but we didn't really leave the first cove by the launch. We had a bait steeler every five mins or less. Great lakes for hiking. Good trails. Parking seemed limited on Sunday tho.
