Has anybody ever hunt ducks out of a inflatable pontoon boat. I'm thinking of trying it out next year. I'm thinking oroville wildlife area. I have oars and can also put a trolling motor on it. Any thoughts or opinions on it

Sounds cold and wet, but it'll probably work?

THats the thing is I sit about a foot outta the water. I can go bass fishing in jeans and boots and stay perfectly dry. So duck hunting out of it wouldn't be too bad as I would be wearing waders and sitting out of the water but yet low enough and once cameoed I would look like a little island with decoys swimming around

I have duck hunted out of my kayak many times. It can be a lot of fun. Hauling gear, decoys exc... Can be a challenge. And no matter what do plan on getting wet.

I've shot them out of a float tube, camoed-up,..one suggestion is to put a "safety" line on your shotgun,a piece of parachute cord tied around the pistol grip, then to the boat frame,..one slip or bump and that thing is heading to the bottom.Good luck! Mike
