You mean the bought and paid for BP scientists weren't telling the truth?

Yeah, I remember when 76 refinery in Rodeo was dumping selenium and other chemicals into the bay, they didn't stop even after they were cited and fined. Their reasoning: "it's cheaper to pay the fine then restructure the equipment". So, with all the oil industry lobbyists and "their" politicians, the general public seldom gets the truth.

But, isn't it strange that the oil industry cites government regulations for the price increase?

The effects are still strong in Florida. I have talked to several people in the past week here in Florida about it.
