Can anybody tell me how long Canned Smoke Salmon lasts?
The seals and jars are still good and they have been in a cool dark cupboard for a couple of years. *(forgot it was there) Do you think that it is still good?

Should still be good, but I would test a jar first by doing a sniff test. If it smells bad then it has gone sour.

If the food is spoiled the can will be pressurized and the tops bulging. (Unless you did not seal it right)

HB, I'm kind of funny when it comes to expirations of food products. If the can's seal remains intact and doesn't click when you press down on the lid, it means that there is no bacterial growth in the can. I would rather be on the safe side and probably throw it out if it was me. Canned meats tend to have less shelf life than vegetables. I try to use all of my canned fish within a year, but I have eaten it as long as 14 months without a problem.
