got here sat afternoon and really didn't fish yet. Trout fishing is very slow 1 to 2 fish around the boatramp and marina area. Water about 6 to 7 fee from full. Much higher than 3 weeks ago. Bass fishing is excellent as well as Kokenee . I am going today for kokes. I will have pics this evening

Sounds like it might be time for some tricks. Not sure what you've got with you but maybe you can inprovise.

Respool a rig with 75' of 2wt floating fly line followed by 15' of lead core followed by 15' of mono leader with whatever the bankers are using behind that.

Swoop in and out of areas you think are holding trout and you might be pleasantly surprised.

So bankers are doing well? Not much action over the week-end around rec cove, guess it got better!

Culling Kokes?

05-05-2015, 03:04 PM
I was always under the impression that once ya got an kept a limit that was it,catch an release or not!!?????????:shocked:

Once you have a limit, any rod in the water is a no-no. Any fish you catch after a limit is in the boat, you are over the limit. The only fish that can be "culled" is bass, and that is only in tournament settings.

Kokes were hot today at Pardee, out by myself and had 28 in the net. Culled until I got 5 good ones and just practiced catch and release the rest of the day.

Didn't get there until 7:45am headed to the river mouth and dam area, Setback 80' and 100' and dropped on the wire down to 34' and 40' using wedding ring with a smile blade on one and small inline flashers trailing a purple apex. Both were tipped with shoepeg corn soaked in the oil from a can of starkest tuna fish. I had 3 other types of corn but the tuna fish oil was the ticket. (Always is).

If this is in fact legit, and not trolling to stir the pot
I think I would;
A) brush up on my knowledge of the regulations, and
B) reconsider this post

You have 2 serious violations you are admitting to within this one post for one trip. While reports are appreciated and helpful to other anglers, we cannot condone illegal activities

I was out of town all weekend, and believe it or not I didn't look at the boards, so didn't see it until this afternoon. I'm hoping he's just a troll trying to stir the pot.
