Rumors swirling around that California will make a D 6 a Draw Zone.
They determine a zone to be declared `premium' when the tags sell out so quickly. Last year D 6 tags sold out super fast. But the reasons were all directly related to the Rim Fire -- with the vast amount of forest still closed off because of the Rim Fire, instead of selling 10,000 tags - last year they only offered 6000.

So the rumor mill amongst hunters is that CDFG are planning to make D6 a premium zone this year.
Some people say they called CDFG and it is confirmed, others say they called and is unconfirmed -- anyone here know?
or is it just crazy BS rumors that always seem to be floating around this time of year LOL

Confirmed, it's already happened. It's a premium zone this year. Many of us have already applied. Any serious deer hunter worth his salt gets a regulation booklet, be it print or PDF and learns the new regs every year.

Don't rely on other peoples word, it won't fly with the wardens when they are writing you a ticket. The wardens up here in D6 are great guys, but they have zero tolerance for ignorance.

Good luck getting a tag, please hunt safe.

For what it is worth the success in D6 was just over 3% last year. You'd be better off spending your points on a better zone.
