The rains are gone and the sun is warm. Decided to take a little look around my part of the world. First was ICR. I parked in the day use area and walked up the shore below the campground. I fished here for two hours using Gulp and 1/4 oz gold Kastmaster. Not a nibble. I had been told that the lake had been real slow for awhile and indeed it was. The weather was warm and the winds lite. Beautiful but fish less. Lake level is going up a little with water being added. With the East Carson blown out I headed up the West Carson. I tried a couple of spots and finally connected with a Memorial Day hold over below the 89 bridge. My final stop was Red Lake. It's been awhile sense I had fished here. The lake is low and a little green. Using a 1/4 oz gold Kastmaster I caught 2 small LCT. I miss the brookies. Not a lot of fish but no skunk. A nice day up the hill.
