Fished Pyramid Lake on Saturday and Sunday. I couldn't believe all the people camping at the lake -- neither could I believe all the noise at 3:30 in the morning! Stereos blasting, people having too much fun. Most of them were not fishermen -- saw many more ski boats and jet skis than fishing boats.
Saturday started out slow -- only 3 trout by noon to 23 inches. Then caught 16 more between 1 and 4! Fished the east side between Anderson and Red bays, most fish caught on watermelon Apex and watermelon Excel spoons at 35 to 45 OTW. Sunday we only fished till 10:30 and had 13 trout to 9.2 pounds. One of these days I will get my 10 pounder -- I am getting closer!! Weather was great -- only 55 degrees overnight -- 85 during the day with a slight breeze. Sunday's big fish came on a Silver Horde Ace Hi plug in watermelon -- caught toplining off Hell's Kitchen.

Great looking fish. Seems the bite was on even with the skiers out there!

Excellent trip Snifferman. The 10# fish will come when you least expect it. The bad boy you got will do until that time comes. Will be there Friday for a couple of days and your information is valuable.

Not many lake lice get over to Anderson and Red Bays. Lots of places to hide on the east side.:Butthead:

Those fish are beautiful, I was there Saturday and yes, a ton of college kids out there partying, almost got hit at the launch by two girls swerving in a sea doo. We caught 19 fish up to 23'' from the launch to Warrior. I was surprised the fishing was as good as it was since the water temp (surface) was so high. Gorgeous lake nonetheless....

Love the camp & sky shots too (great looking fish porn). I suspect with all of the summer like temps the weekends will be a little packed. Since there are so few places to launch larger craft, I would suggest staying close to the launch if the wind decides to come up. Thanks............Jetspray

I think that's one of the best trout trips you ever had! Now this was over 10 years ago, but who was it that went to Union Valley Res and caught something like 9 browns over 10 pounds on the same day? I used to have the old issue, but it got lost during our last move. Perhaps you can dig it up? Anyways good work! Be safe out there when the wind comes up, that water is cold, so be safe and careful!
