The Fall and Spring Pyramid Fest are so cool that an ad hoc Fest in the warmer weather just before closing was set up.Some attendees were. Jake (Mackattack) and his wife Peggy, Beth (Chickfishing 58), Sam (Geezer2), Bill (Okie), Steve (Blue Boat, Linestretcher, GoneSomewhereElse), Kelli from Ferntuckey, Some kids and a dog.

I arrived at Pelican at 0630 on Friday and was soon on the Water with Sam in his North River. I fished with Sam both Friday and Saturday. The fishing for us was quite good. We fished to the north between Spider and Warrior and off shore. The fish were between 25 and 40 feet OTW. The hot lures were a silver Papa Murphy.s Spoon and a U-20 red dot frog Flat Fish. For the two days we had 28 fish to the boat to 24 inches. One fish was added from the shore. The Weather was beautiful both days in the morning. The afternoon became windy with thunder storms. Friday night's dinner was at Crosby's and Saturday's breakfast was coffee and bagels by Jake. Saturday lunchy was Polish Dogs with Kraut and stuff by Bill. It was nice to see you folks. Pyramid will re open October and the Fall fest will be soon to follow. I want to thanks Sam for two days fishing on his beautiful boat. He's a heck of a fisherman and a great guy to fish with. Old guys rule. Dog gone right.

Glad you had fun and caught plenty of fish to keep up the interest. It looks like the beach is not crowded like the previous week.

The beach started to crowd up Saturday morning but not that bad. Guess the weather kept most away. Fishing was from sunrise to 1300 then the winds came up and the clouds gathered. Friday afternoon was quite windy but the winds died around 1900. There were some good trout off of Pelican beach. Caught one around 19 inches and lost two that seemed much bigger. Lots of real brutes on the finder all below 150 feet. Some pretty impressive bait balls. I think that the the trout will have a good summer and be ready for the fall.
