Headed to Collins on my spring break wed-fri. Got in Wed at 930am launched the boat and got to fishing. Fished the east side with no luck then headed to the west bank before the power lines and posted up for some trout fishing. Ended up getting three there on powerbait with no size but not till 1230. Headed back to camp to drop our stuff back in the trailer then back to it. The bite picked up in the afternoon and landed a 18inch fatty throwing a crankbait for bass over by the damn. Ended up with a few more bass but pretty slow overall. Launched thursday at about 8am and fished hard till 11 with not even a nibble. Headed back for a big breakfast then back on the water at 1230 and from 1230-430 put about 12 fish in the boat. All were caught bass fishing on the east side and half of those 12 were trout caught drop shotting a worm. Couple nice spots to 3lbs and a 19 inch trout to boot. We were leaving on friday and decided to give it a go in the morning but got skuncked from 730-1130...Did not get a bit before noon any of the 3 days we fished but the afternoons were pretty good. Water is 56 and visibility is a foot....on a side note they did not plant that week:mad: and people were not too happy about it

They planted friday afternoon. I camped from Friday through Sunday and landed well over 30 trout all good size.

All the boaters that came in had limits, even in Friday before the stocking.
