Well we made it down here yesterday. First time here and I like it already. Seas are rough and it's breezy today. Hopefully it lays down before we go out tomorrow and give it a shot. Will report back.

Well today turned out to be a GREAT day of fishing. We ended up with 9 Dorado to 45lbs, 2 sailfish (released) and I got into a blue marlin that was estimted at about 8ft and 250lbs. I had him to the leader once, and he took back off and broke off the 100lb leader. I was really bummed. It looked huge and beautiful the one glimpse we got of him.

Steve,

Awesome report and great fish! What resort are you at? Are you on the East Cape or are you on charters in Cabo. Keep up the great reports and have a fantastic time!

Awesome!! I want to go back right now! Never caught a sailfish before. I bet they fight like mad. 250 is a large marlin. Too bad no photo op - but now you have more reasons to go back. Thanks for posting.

Here's a few more to wet your whistle Troutfan. I bet you can't wait ;)

Wednesday was BAD seas for 5 hours until we headed up the East bank. It laid down nicely up there for the rest of the day. We had different guides who were not nearly as good as our previous and preferred to BS in the tower rather than get us on fish. We managed a small marlin and 2 dorado. I'm glad I had a good day with good guides to compare days. I would have been a bit bummed if I went out only once and it was like the last trip.

Rick...we stayed at Playa Grande right in Cabo. The resort was fabulous and I'd HIGHLY recommend it to anyone thinking about staying there.
