Here we go again. Welcome to the 2016 fishing season starting Saturday. We will have some plants in the rivers for the opener. Should be some great fishing this weekend. The rivers are running a little bit higher than we have seen in the last few years. The flows are not so high that they are not fishable, the colder weather has helped bring them down. We got alittle bit of snow today here in downtown Woodfords. The Eastern Alpine Volunteer Fire Department will once again do our pancake breakfast on Saturday. Stop by and get a warm cup of coffee and a great breakfast. All proceeds go to support our volunteer organization. The breakfast will be at our station 91 on Diamond Valley road just south of the woodfords junction off highway 89. Look forward to seeing everyone there and good fishing for all please be safe around the rivers the water is cold this year.
