Launched out of Cave Rock this morning at 06:30 to hunt for some trout. Ran Shad Raps @ 3.5 -4 MPH close to shore. 2 Bows and 1 Brown to the boat. My buddy caught the Bows and I got the Brown.

12 degrees at launch.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170130/8e41e5c8beb1a4d74009e1fabc689365.jpg

Wonderful. The cold doesn't bother so much when you are surrounded by all that beauty with the occasional trout.

I hate the fact that some of those deer on the lake are stuck. It's only 2-4 feet deep right there but 12- 20 feet deep right above them. I guess the strong live on

20 feet of snow will trap most critters up here.

Blonde moment I thought you were talking about the water depth. I was thinking we'll deer can swim.

And they do, they could swim across the bay at it's narrowest point. That was the sunny side and they where bedding down during the day! To get some sun!!
