I've seen a couple of pictures here of people holding a holding a fish with a fish gripper. Are they beneficial? Does it really make it easier on the fish? I catch and release, and normally wear gloves to hold the fish. Yes, I'm a sissy.

Buy a long handle gripper if you're trolling for Stripers, otherwise if and when the Striper shakes it's head there's a great chance those tribble hooks will bite you. Don't ask me how I know http://www.ifish.net/board/images/smilies/doh.gif
