We launched at Mossdale Crossing on Monday and went south of the bridge. *We were targeting stripers, but only ended up with one small catfish and a HUGE EXCITING BLUEGILL!!!!

The bite was very timid. *I think it was catfish the whole time. *They would take one quick bite, and then nothing for 5 minutes, so you never had a chance to set the hook. *We switched to smaller and smaller hooks (which is how the bluegill managed to get a worm in its mouth).

I am really surprised that we didn't get any schoolie stripers. *We fished 10 - 30 feet of water with shrimp, shad, anchovies, and worms. *Shrimp got the most bites.
