Road is open. Fished Lower Blue a week ago off the dam. 1 very small fish. I don't think that CDFW has stocked it as of yet.

I was just in that area and the fishing is good if you know which one of the many lakes to fish.

I stopped by Lower Blue Lake near the campground just scouting around and had a surprise catch of a 14 inch mackinaw from the shore while trying for trout. It fell for a gold/red Thomas Buoyant spoon. At first I thought it was a brookie until I looked closer. Lots of white spots and no vermiculations on the dorsal area. Tasted great!
