I have fished for carp at lake shasta but have only caught 3 carp in 2 years of fishing. I rent a house boat in Sept. every year and catch a lot of salmon and trout by the dam but I can not find the carp. Corn works well for carp if I can find them. The only place I have found the carp is in the Pit arm and that is so far from the dam. Does anyone know of a good place to catch carp that is close to the dam.

Thanks
Jeff

shasta is very deep, i don't know if they'll stay by the dam, look somewhere with rocks and shallow area going 10ft - 40ft. Corn will works, but naturally they won't touch corn, they only touch it because of the sweet taste, best luck going off corn meal dough ;D ;) :D
