"It's been such a long time, I think I should be goin', yeah
And time doesn't wait for me, it keeps on rollin'
There's a long road, I've gotta stay in time with
I've got to keep on chasin' that dream, though I may never find it
I'm always just behind it" * Boston - Foreplay/Longtime

Went to Clear Lake on 7/5/08 with my buddy Scott for an overnight trip to do some catfishing, take in some live music with Boston & Styx, and watch a fireworks show. *We launched at 1pm and decided to anchor up and cook some brauts cooked with beer. *The fish were willing to let us enjoy the meal because as soon as we finished eating, the first fish was in the boat. *Most of the fish on this trip were very close to this size. *

After 3 or 4 more fish we motored over to Konocti and positioned the boat in 27 feet of water, just below the outdoor concert venue. *It was pretty crowded because of the fireworks show and by the end of the night there were roughly 100 boats anchored and drifting in the wind, listening to Boston belt out their classic tunes. *

Here is a fish caught while listening to the opening act, Styx.

I caught this fish while having a beer and listening to Boston perform 'Rock N Roll Band'. *This fish is for riverboi who asked for some slip bobber info. *It was caught on a slip bobber at 26 feet.

In the distance we see a big barge coming towards us. *As fate would have it, it was filled with a ton of fireworks, and it anchors right next to my boat. *It was awesome to have a front row seat for such a fireworks show. *

Dusk at Konocti. *The resort is in the background, Mt. Konocti is on the left, and the outdoor concert venue is just out of the picture.

As Boston was finishing up their encores, the fireworks started. *It was a kick ass show with the best perspective I've ever experienced for a fireworks spectacular. *Simply awesome & the pictures don't do justice for the experience. . .

After the concerts and fireworks, we motored back over to Indian Island to anchor up and finish out the night. *We landed 17 channel cats for the trip. *No double digit fish on this trip, but it didn't matter as the overall experience was simply fantastic. *We were off the water by 10am. *Water temp was 77 degrees.

It was a great time. *We didn't get any really BIG fish, but we had enough action to keep us busy. * *

I'd like to pay some respect to the boat full of ladies that were anchored near where we were drifting. *Special thanks goes to the one with the cowboy hat and Stars/Stripes U.S.A. bikini who did a little dance each time she saw us drifting by. *God bless America. . . *;)

No you're not just kidding!!!!! Anyways, Knotgillty thanks for dedicating that fish to me. I was also out fishing all night that same night. Got 3 cats, the small going 18 lbs. Which in my opinion is great. It's only my 3rd time fishing for cats in a lake. I would post the pics but I have to edit them first. Someone on here pretty much gave me their exact spot to fish and I have to keep it secret. Let me just say thanks to you and him!!!!! before the 2 of you gave me info my best cat was like 3 lbs, and first cat after putting both or your advice together was 20+ so THANKS!!!!!
