Trolled Markley and the Narrows for zip. Headed over to Skiers Cove area, picked up a salmon and a trout. Water temp at 57. Marked shad at 50-70 feet. What the heck? Shouldn’t they be on top by now? By the way, picked up both fish at 10 feet on a fire tiger Rapala.

Asuming the lake has turned over? How can you tell? Marked a lot of fish at 60 feet.

With the weather we have had the lakes haven't turned over. I'm not near Berryessa but the warm temp and most importantly "no rain". The rain breaks the water tension and releases more heat than cold temps alone. So no rain is no turnover. Melones usually turns around Turkey Day but still hasn't.

The bite has been wide open at berry for two weeks. Everything in the top 20ft

Those salmon are few and far between this year out there. That's a good catch. Assuming it's a Kokanee right? I haven't heard of any kings being caught for years up there.
