Went to Lafayette on 3-11 for a paddle and to test the Gofish Cam, I ended up being surprised with a large stocked rainbow

Awesome fish! How do you like that camera? How easy was it to rig for trolling? And where did you get those rod holders?

The camera is ok, it was my first time using it. It's easy to use, creates 1 min video files with a delay (10-15 sec) between them. I would like to see less delay between files. The water clarity was awful but the camera was able to see the lure and easily the bottom in the one scene. At $239 its a bit steep and is shipped directly from China (company is a startup) so tack on $15 shipping. I would like to see the camera at the around $150-$180.

The trolling setup is all Scotty parts; Scotty triple mount, Scotty rod holder extenders, Scotty rod holders. Can find them all online.

Tight lines!

Thanks for the info on the camera. I currently use a gopro on a dive housing that looks like a bell with a dive light strapped to it to increase visibility. Been looking for smaller options. Have you tried or know anyone who has used the waterwolf camera? That is one I was looking at, about $150. Very similar design.

I've not had any experience with the waterwolf, but the specs state 720, 4hrs on a full charge. Yet the 32gb max is about 2hours of video. Also the gofish, has a LED light and can be used in realtime with Wi-Fi if attached to the float that's included. Seems like the wolf is missing that. Here's a $25 off coupon code for the go fish if you or any other reader wants it I got it after I ordered:

Grew up in the area and never tried fishing there. I go back periodically and will have to give it a shot. Thanks for the video.
