Went up to Shasta lake Friday evening, went 2 for 4, but was quite distracted by the dense smoke. Got these incredible shots of the Carr fire burning it's way up the west side of Shasta lake after sundown. The pics are from the Dry creek mouth not far from the dam. It is also burning up on west side of Sac arm near/past Elmore bay. To the east is the Hirz fire up on the Mcloud. Situated in the middle of these two fires is the town of Lakehead. The circle on the map is where I was. Top arrow Lakehead.

Scary. That's a hell of a fish.

Heading up there on Wednesday, or was supposed to. I'm assuming most fish are 60' on down?

Great pics.

Great pics.Yeah, bait balls seem to be hanging at about 60'. I've been trolling just under them about 70' all the way to about 100'. I picked up a brown at 55' a week ago. Try around Toupee Island, South shore adjacent and slaughterhouse island. Most nice bows seem to be coming out of the main body. Good luck!
