Went out to Folsom Lake this morning with Legal Beagle. He was looking for validation that his boat runs well...not much time to kill otherwise. Boat was solid and we decided to put in 45 minutes of fishing. Put in near the dam with a speedy shiner and a needle fish - firetiger and rainbow respectively. 15 minutes in - BAM - double hook up! A couple of full finned, nice looking rainbows in the lower double digit range. Caught 50-55ft on the wire. Did not expect anything, so not a bad quick outing.

That is not an easy result for Folsom, way to go! I'd love to see Koke Machine hit that lake and report back. That would be a genuine challenge. Robbie, you game?

What does "lower double digit range" mean?

12" but mighty clean and purty. Nothing to brag about--just spreading the good word. The point is, they were biting and we didn't take long to find them. We were in about 90 ft. of water, near the dang. We marked several bait balls near the bottom, but the fish bit at 50-55 OTW.

Sounds like a fun day.

Was gonna give you a hard time about the double digits but got beat to it. Any trout from Folsom in August is a good day.

There are some very nice fish in that lake. Keep up the reports.
