Been busy myself Don, Topaz opens on the first and I have been playing in the garage getting ready. Great looking 8'lber onboard. Were there any amounts of bait below all those birds? I hope that in a couple of months they will release me to take the boat out......Jetspray

I didn't go out there. There were a couple of bait balls where I was fishing and I was marking fish. I had three other fish on that got off. I caught the 8lbr just a few minutes earlier.

It was really cold and I left early.

Thanks I was just wondering about the birds, cold sucks, when the weather is like that I am willing to put the cabin sides on and use the heater from the main engine, to use it I have to run the main for a couple of minutes to keep the waterpump working and engine warm. Otherwise I run the kicker.......Jetspray

I like the rod/reel setup..I've got 3 of the 81/2' tigersticks (in med-light action)with the Okuma coldwater linecounters on em..I use em for salmon on the Sac but find they are a nice setup for trolling Pyramid..sensitive enough to gauge lure action but plenty of backbone for big fish
