Decided to give Pardee a try on Friday. My son and I launched at 730 and trolled the lake up to the arm and then stayed most of the time in the arm. We had tried several thing with no luck, so I put on a shad excel spoon and some willow blade flashers, and around 9am a pole started dancing . My son picked it up reeled twice and it was gone. We turned around a head back over that spot again but nothing. around 1pm got another drive by but very disappointing. I have had good luck in Pardee before and they say they are stocking it with over 1000lbs per week but I dont see it. might try again in a couple of weeks.I only saw one fish landed and a couple more lost.

Hey Fishhound, thanks for the report. getting out for a day on the water with your son is a big win, even when the fish are on vacation.

Just because you aren't catching fish doesnt mean they arent planting. Hell they show the video of the stocking each week. Kokemachine just caught 27 trout on three days. For one I'd stick to the top 10 feet and dump your flasher, especially with the spoon.

I took my dad and son out to pardee today. Fished a few hours, had a dozen hits and landed 6 quality bows. The fish are there but very scattered.

They arent gouging people, prices are fair. You just cant catch fish apparently.

I think you guys fuss up too much. Change in tactics is dictated by the flows into the lake. You might have to fish in 30 to 20 ft of water closer to the top, it mostly is temperature as well as what the color of the water is. Also overcast makes a big difference in strikes.......Jetspray

Wait, What?

No kokes?

Really?

Even having trout gear out, everyone is limiting on kokes this year, just like last year!!!
Come on, quit holding back, the lake that is loaded with kokes, and you only caught trout? Say it isn't so!!!
Oh wait...... you're just holding back because of the upcoming derby :rotfl2:

Wtf are you talking about? For one its early for kokes there and last year plenty of people caught kokes at pardee last year and the quality was very good. You may want to go back and look at some reports from last year. I know you've done all your studies and blah blah but people didnt seem to struggle there. If you want a lake full of dinky kokes than go to bullards.

But wait, it is too early for kokes at pardee.

If ImHooked was still around there would be plenty more reports proving your "too early" excuse is a lie.....

Keep trying.....

Just for kicks, some kokes in March from here....

There is no concentration of fisherman going for them right now. Come up with all the excuses you want. Unfortunately reports dont lie. The pure fact you rely on reports from this forum is sad. Again plenty caught last year and many with great size. Much larger than in years past. You contribute so much here with your 96 posts

I love how your links prove my point. No one wants to fish this early for 9-10 inch kokes.

You really should just stop.
Making yourself look like a fool is not becoming of you.

Nobody is fishing for them right now? Really?

The lake has been loaded with kokanee derby fisherman trying to find where they are for the upcoming derby.
Koke Machine just posted he spent 3 days fishing there dragging koke gear for one koke.

I am relying on this forum?
So you are saying this forum is crap, and the people that post here are crap? More belittling and arrogance from you.
Sorry, I talk to people on the water.
The lack of reports on this forum and others blatantly tells a story.
There are reports from other kokanee lakes, funny everyone must just be keeping pardee a secret huh?
If people don't want to fish for 10" kokes why does bullards get any traffic? Why do people that live closer to pardee, travel to bullards instead of going to pardee?
Just stop making up excuses that are bunk.

Kyle Murphy from DFW knows the lake is off.
Yet you know better? Amazing!!!!

Oh, sorry for my 96 posts. And the majority of your posts are no different than below. Belittling, arrogance, etc, etc, etc.

It's definitely not too early for Kokanee! We got into him last weekend in Tahoe when we came across some. It seems we always start to pick them up in mid March. So if they're biting in Tahoe they got to be biting down there in those Foothill Lakes.

Yeah you can go get east limits at bullards right now but again they're small.
