Thinking of taking the Yak to Ice House and do a little trolling this weekend. Has anyone been on the lake lately?

Thanks, Kevin.

Check out the “Recommendations for Hwy 50/88...” thread a few back.

Should be some browns prowling around in the low light hours or if we get anymore funky weather. Some reported this time last year.

Good luck if you go.

The lake level was rising fast, about 10 ft. in the last week as of Sunday and was 73% full . Water temp was 45 degrees.
Fishing was ok later in the day for us, boated 5 and lost 4 more within 15 ft of the boat...

I was gonna post the lake level chart, but SMUD redesigned the website this week and I can't find it yet...

Any size in those fish? Were you fishing in the top 20?

Any size in those fish? Were you fishing in the top 20? The 2 that were kept for dinner were 16-18". Everything else was 14 and under.
They all came on a top line.

Pulled two the other day an 18” and a 22” holdovers from shore last week. As of this week there’s fresh snow on the ground and a camp host charging $8.00 to launch.

If your just putting the yak in take the turn before you enter the launch ramp lot and you can park free in the day use and launch from shore there. SMUD is plowing the roads but it is cold and nasty up there right now!! (I was up working in the area yesterday and is was still snowing.) I may try to hit it again today since the weather looks like it’s clearing.

What lure are you using on your top line?

Sorry for not responding, I did not see your question until today.
They were on a watermelon dodger and orange and brown grub.
