Took my girlfriend Bridget and 3 of her sons and a girlfriend to Pyramid for Mother's Day. Launched about 6:15 and headed to Hell's Kitchen. A slight breeze made it a little choppy in the middle of the lake, but no problem for the 21' Coastal. Started trolling at the south end of the kitchen and kept going all the way to Fox Bay. Constant action on beautiful cutthroats all the way. Water temp was 60 degrees when we started and up to 69 by 2:30 pm. We ended up with 38 trout to the boat, including several double hook ups! Chyna the young girlfriend of one of the boys had never caught a fish before! Well now she is broken in and excited about catching fish! We kept 8 for the smoker including the biggest at 6 lbs. 10 oz. Best lures were Lymans in red dot frog and Dill pickle, and the large size Tasmanian Devils in Canberra Killer color (orange with yellow wings).. Caught several fish trolling the Lymans on the surface throughout the day. The rest of them came at 20' at about 2.5 mph. Weather was 45 degrees in the morning and up to about 80 in the afternoon. A great way to celebrate Mothers day on a Fantastic lake.
