Got these yesterday morning at Berryessa. Not quite a double but back-to-back. One rod at 40' and the other at 50'. Speedy shiners. Trolling 2.6 mph.

Fat and decent size. Faint spots all over tail fin. A good friend thinks could be big kokanee. I'm not so sure, but really don't know.

I guess if I don't swallow my pride and ask I won't know. What do you think?

Thanks. I figured my friend, who has a lot more experience than me, was right but nice to confirm. Anyway, looks like I posted these pic's on the wrong forum!

Take Care

I think those are trout but I've been wrong a million times before. Kokes have more of a forked tail and the anal fin tapers back and doesn't end abruptly like the ones in the pic. Example below. The second fish in your pics look a bit forked but that is from being compressed in. Your first pic shows a typical trout tail.

No matter. Great catch even if it's a crappie. LOL

RideNfish is correct. They are trout. I didn't click on the original pic to blow them up.

Still nice fish though.

Thanks everyone. I really do appreciate your help. I would like to say I was right all along, but I honestly wasn't sure. Being color blind doesn't help, but I can still see spots. LOL

They were decent size for me and kind of scrappy.
