Cant go wrong with minor slough.I would wait a bit longer but when it hot you can have 50+ fish days pretty easy.

I second Miner Slough, for pan sized fish it's about as good as you can get, need a boat though. JIM D.

We fish Mendota Slough, havn't been skunked yet.

Beaver Slough is the primo delta spot. Get permission from the land owner to fish it from the bank at the Mokelumne confluence. Caught a sweet 4 lb. channel there last night.

Been back to Beaver last three nights in a row. Striper action pretty good there. Every night have caught at least one 3-4 lb. what I thought was a channel, but turned out to be white cat after all.

15.5 boat would be fine there.water is nice and calm.Google arrow head harbor and that would be where to launch from ;D
