So i was really bored Sat. so i went through my freezer looking for left over anchovies or sardines or anything. What i found was a lamprey eel left over from sturgy fishing. So i decided i would try it out i live right across the street from the sutter bypass so i walk to one of my good holes and bam caught 2 cats about 2 pounds and 3 pounds on EEl not many bites other than that but soon it will be awsome.

I didn't know cats would bite on eel. Thanks for the info, stalker. From what I've heard, eel is almost crab and crawdad proof.

I also used eel in the past and caught a couple fish, Stripers, Kingfish and flounder will also bite on it beside sturgeon. Eel is similar to midshipmen, really tough and rubbery, stayes on the hook really good.
