im plan on hitting the sac river next weekend. after catching tons of trout in yosemite. i need to catch something different. how bad are those lil infected vampires on the river? i got bit 100 times or so up there. but wasnt worried about west nile there, it was just anoying. i guesss ill have to watch myself as much as i watch my rod on the sac.

Don't know about there haven't been in the area. Stay away from the sutter bypass, the little vampires there will carry you away. JIM D.

Just a tid-bit of info... If you happen to see/notice a large ammount of dragonflies in any particular area, your chances of getting sucked dry by mosquitos is greatly reduced. Dragonflies eat somewhere in the neighborhood of 4 times their body weight in mosquitos every day.

i was in verona yesterday. we had one dragon fly that kept landing on our poles. but as sun went down more and more vampire came! OFF iwth deet was doing a pretty good job of keeping them off, but they were still flying around us.
