I've fished for bass and trout.

bass fishing is fairly easy. Just walk the bank line and flick a brush hog, fly line a 6" worm, or a power craw into the tule lines and hold on. My dad and I used to love doing this pre-spawn for the largemouths.

Trout fishing is fairly good year round. Power bait tipped with a peice of nightcrawler did the trick (if I remember right). The best way is from a rubber raft or canoe. just paddle out and drop a night crawler, cricket or such and let it go to the bottom. Reel up a couple of feet and let the bait drift with you - kinda like a slow drift. catfishing is hit or miss but after the first good rain I like fishing the back side (closer to berreyessa) over by the inlet.

a point to make is that the lake is a water storage so no dogs or human "contact" is allowed. Motors are prohibited - obviously - but IMHO thats not such a bad thing.

I've fished that lake and never catch a decent fish, every time the fishing was very poor and very small fish, huh!! just remember the anchor that i lost there when i drop it and stay like a stupid with the end of the rope in my hand, is just that i never imagine that the tiny lake is over 90 feet deep where the anchor rest now. :-[ ;D ;D
