I was looking for a website that would show me a simple knot for adding a long leader to the line.I came across this website thought some others might find it useful.
Does anyone use the powerpro line with a mono leader 20-30 ft?If so what type of knot do you use.I tried a couple and when cinching it up the pro line cut thru the mono :P

That is a good website, Kevin, it was posted last year and I saved it to file and use it every time I need a new knot or to remind myself how to do the basics.

I use a modification of the Albright knot. Instead of doubling the braided line over, I just tie an overhand knot in the end and run the fluoro leader through it. Then I make a loop with the leader and do the Albright wrap. The overhand knot just acts as a stop to prevent the knot tied with the mono from slipping.

Wait, I'd should explain that better. I make a loop in the mono and make the winds in the opposite direction from the Albright. Then I run the tag end through the end of the loop, moisten the line and tighten up. I think this is what fly guys call a nail knot except that I don't find it necessary to use a nail for the wraps.
