Fishing and camping at Hellhole I have not been there in twenty-five years. I can't remember how long of a drive it is from UVR, coming from the Placerville area. I would like to share a childhood experience with my kids. I would be pulling a 19 ft. bayliner is that going to be a problem? Any information would be great!

I am thinking around 1.5 Hrs. If you are towing. the road is all paved but lots of small bumps.

Good Luck

No dock. There was a large log there (in early July) that was almost as good. ;D I would think a single person launch may be kinda tough on a boat that size. It is very rocky. To leave the boat to park the truck may be tough on fiberglass.

The drive from union valley is a good 1.5 hours or so towing. Great drive though.

Thanks FishCrazed I drove up there today without the boat to check it out. I watched a guy single launch his boat ( not fiberglass ) and thought the same thing. I also drove to French Meadows Res. and dropped a line in for a couple of hours. No bites but still enjoyed the day. Hell Hole campground brought back some 25 to 30 year old memories.
