I've been looking around and saw this map offered online:

Has anyone purchased this map? Any good? Can you recommend one better?

I haven't purchased that one, but this one isn't too bad and the price is right. ;D

Yea I actualy bought that map a couple of months ago. Its the best delta map that I have. Its extreamly detailed. I have the one you can buy at Longs Drugs too. Its good to have both just in case you can't find something you have a second reference. But as far as that map goes, its great!

Hey thanks Wolf. I'm hoping to get it today or tomorrow. Which Longs did you get your map at? :)

Here is, "hands down" the best map that is available out there of the delta and any other area that you wish too see in the United States and anywhere else!!! Pretty cool stuff.....Makes you wonder if Big Brother is watching you!
This is and actual photographic virtual map that you can use to find any geographical area.

Just move map to anywhere you wish to see detail of, even your own house!!!

I bought that other map at the Longs on Franklin and Laguna in Elk Grove. Its the same map that Vini-v was talking about. But I have both that one and the one from frankosmaps and like frankosmaps better.

I looked up my house on the Virtual Earth site and can see inside my boat in the driveway.

Lol, you can look for places on google maps too. They have a satalite pic if you click on the link. I was able to see my dogs in the back yard, lol.

I have several maps on the Delta including Franko's, Hal Schell's (real old) and the Fish-n-Map Co. (by fisherman for fishermen). Both Franko's and Fish-n-Map are waterproof and tear resistant, but, Franko's is color and smaller scale so a little harder to read and follow. The newer version from Fish-n-Map has GPS scales, might be helpful if you travel greater distances around Delta, all those channels begin to look alike.

Franko's Delta Map & Fish "N" Map are the only two good maps of the California Delta. They are the only two Water-Proof & Rip-Proof Maps available.
Google Maps have been incorrect regarding Delta Waterway names, Delta roads, and even Delta Island names! Google says a company called TeleAtlas (owned by TomTom) is responsible for the mistakes, but repeated notices to TeleAtlas are ignored. I got both here. www.CaliforniaDeltaMaps.com
