Buddie went to Hensley, tied up to a willow tree and slayed the Crappie.
They were using minnows, between the two of them they caught over 30, with a handfull at 15''. Might be the time to hit Hensley for crappie. They fished from 7am to 8pm . Only time with no fish was between 2-5pm.

that sounds great. last time i was there was about 4-5 years ago and saw plenty of snakes, didn't go since. hopefully that means shore fishing is good.

What part of the lake were they fishing at? Did they just stay at one tree or move from one tree to another? I was thinking about going there.

Which launch ramp did they launch from? The west side of the lake or the east side of the lake? Im thinking about going fishing this weekend, but dont really know where to go yet. I dont know what I want to fish for. But the crappies sound really good.

If I had a more comfortable boat, Id hammer bass early then tie up for crappie with a bait clicker and take a nap.

Went after work today. Didnt do really good. Got there at 6 pm and stayed till 8 pm. Its pretty hard to fish from shore. You really need a boat there and the water is up pretty high. I might be going there again on saturday morning and stay there all day. The weather was really good there.

I love hensly... i usually fish for bluegill or bass though (sometimes catfish and trout in the winter)... but when i was small my dad used to take me there for crappie at night... we'd use a lamp and some menows and fish over by the rocks along the road near the northeast side of the lake... haven't been there for a while since i've been away at college... but sounds like it's back to biting again...
