View Full Version : It's all about the stripers

Hello striper junkies. I've been lurking awhile and figured it was time to jump into the fray. There's a wealth of information on this board and I'm here to learn some more and pitch in when I can.

I do want to sincerely commend the moderators on their zero tolerance spot burning. This might not be popular to some but it will make us all better striper hunters - and is one of the main reasons I joined. Good fishing to all. See you in the surf zone.

last saturday night was pretty awesome.. i got to fish with a couple people on a private beach and watch fireworks in the distance.. it was a good hour long show.. talk about spot burning,, that was the spot straight blowing up.. i had a couple stops up close on top and thought they were fish missing but i wasn't sure because it was dark and there was salad in the water.. then the next thing i know, i hear drag peeling from 15-20 feet away.. i say you on fish, he said yeah.. it was off just like that.. then the fish were gone.. no more nothing.. we fished it for a while longer.. what a cool night.. thanks for sticking it out a little longer and sharing it with me..

Thanks for the welcome all.

It's killer to be able to chase stripers deep into the night and continue the search as the sun comes up. Good company makes it even better.

Night Hunter is a cool name choice, welcome brother. You'll find that there are several "night hunters" among you.

Nighttime stripers, what could be better.
