Does anyone know or have seen this book in their neck of the woods? Iíve been trying to find one either new or used. I tried the web with no luck so far. If someone comes across one in a tackle store or any book store please give me a pm. Thanks in advance!

I saw a couple at a Right Aid in Oakland on Pleasant Valley about 2 weeks ago. I think they were about $34

Yeah, pick one up for me Dimpala then let GT know that they had one more left but someone bought it ;)

I've seen store copies at Coyote B&T in San Jose but none for sale. Definitely would be interested in reading it.

I think a lot of these vets that we have the pleasure of meeting since the beginning of the season could write up some interesting reads. They have years of experience and knowledge that are really valuable and they possess many adventures and story of many years of striper fishing in the coast. I love hearing about their adventure just as much as hooking up. The tales they tell about runs of the past just makes me wish that I was there too.
I sincerely hope that someday I can tell my own tales to the future generations. Books like what GT is in search for and the stories that are told by these vets are definitely priceless in my opinion.

...Angelo and Abe use to hang out in the parking lot in the sky years back waiting for blitzes.

They haven't been around for years. They used to like to fish the rock wall. I guess since they went big time they are in their boats most of the time.

Yep, those guys are living it up on the boats. Can't blame them! They fish and write about their adventures for a living...what a life! ;D

Ijust looked on Amazon in books section and "San Francisco Bay Striper" is out of print.I would check on the net as many companys can get out of print stuff including those on Amazon.I recently got a copy of "Surfcaster's Quest" ,hard cover great condition for 6 bucks that was marked "No longer property of the Norfolk Library" on the inside cover!Check often as this type of book is kind of rare, don't think to many copys were printed,E BAY maybe a look?

:)I am one of those lucky people who own the book. I got mine for real cheap back in 1996 froma small tackle store in Sacramento that is no longer in business. The book is awesome. I hope the Cuanangs will publish another striper book someday. I had them autograph my book at a fishing show. Those guys are really great people.

I bought a copy back when it first came out....but after all the moves I've did since I purchased that book, I lost that particular book :-[

I still have his Sturgeon book.

I wanted to go to the International Sportsman show last Feb, in San Mateo when Abe and Angelo were doing a seminar...I was going to ask them about the Striper book....I never made it to San Mateo.

I bought that book, when it first hit the book racks also and still have it. That is the best book I ever read for Striper fishing. I was obsessed with it... read some of it every night for years... There's another book out there from the... I think 40's... "Striper Fishing in California and Oregon". If anyone is interested in it? I dig it out and give specs on it. Really cool old book to read.

I got a copy by putting a repeating search up on e-bay. *It took several months, so they are not changing hands too often. *As a paperback, I suspect that many of the original have been destroyed by use over the years--it is copyrighted 1983. *The actual title is "San Francisco Bay Striper" by Abe Cuanang.
