I was lucky enough to take a charter trip out of Glochester, Mass. a month ago when me and my girl friend went to visit her family. Wow, they do got some quality stripers! No, pictures though :(
There big on trolling those tube and worm riggs. The charter captn gave me a couple tube riggs, havn't tried them yet. Any body ever try them out here before? I've never seen them in local bait shops.

One fresh water lake in the valley does have "boiling" land-locked stripers. The place is called New Hogan, incredible striper boils over there. Late summer to mid fall, schoolie stripers attack schools of shad while the big ones stay deep, eating the injured.

Pictues this, I was looking down from the San Luis Pump visitor generatores room above where water gets pumped from the forebay up to San Luis, all heck was happing in this no fish area. I went down and walked out over the catwalk where water gets pumped up through the pumps that have grates on them. Stripers had bait fish pinned against the grates. Till I personally witnessed and learned how I would not belive what was going on. In the school feeding on top 3 feet from me all I could think about was give me a saddle and what a rodeo. Truley unbeliveable site nothing under 40 lbs. Kent

It is truly an amazing site, I've been lucky to have witness this at the Beach, Franks Track and Clifton Court Forebay ......on the American River a forum member here on the Fish Sniffer showed me Striper's herding Shad into a small pool on the side of the river, they would keep them there at bey, then every so often a Striper would dart in the middle of the school and nail a Shad. :o

man must go at bridge and wait for them to swim by.. i got about 40 fresh salted sardines trayed up in the freezer.. i bet a dead man and a sardine under a float would work..
