Anyone hear know of a tackle store(within the bay area) that would build a custom rod for me? I plan on buying a rouge surf rod blank but I'm can't find anyone in the San Jose area that does this type of stuff. I figure I can get some helpful info here. I don't want to do it myself cuz I'm pathetic at arts and crafts type stuff

After you fish with a custom rod you will never buy another rod off the rack.

i think the longest one made by them is 10'6" it looks like it would be a good one to cover what you need for surf fishing. good line rating, action, power/ lure rating. i like them at about 11 feet myself i do have a 10 footer that i like also.. they are both rated about what that rod is and work good.
