View Full Version : Moss Landing, Ever fish there?

Anybody ever fish for stripers there, If so when is a good time of year.
Surfed and worked there alot but never fished it before. Would like to get *out there and try with a fly pole maybe.

Both stretches of sand, to the N and the S of Moss are decent for stripers. The waves can be dangerous though.
Afternoon/evening fishing is best because you get the strong offshore breeze flying down the Salinas Valley to the Pacific...so your casts go much further. Not sure if this would hold true for FFing, but definitely helps when chucking heavy plugs.

moss has a resident population and early spring it gets fish from the gate weve caught tagged fish from the delta, schad ldg. theres fish here all year,just have to be in the rite place at the rite time,,,,,,,,, july when the chovies are the bass are easier to find same as up north
