I would like to take a friend on the Napa River and would like to troll for some stripers, What kind of rig/ lure would I use? I mostly just soak bait so any tips are much appreciated
thanks

your best bet is going to be bait soaking. Sweeney's (Imola St.) has both frozen and live bait. Stop in and ask them what they are biting now. I was doing ok the past 3 weekends with mudsuckers from the bank under the 29 bridge.

Not much trolling action going right now (so my buddy who's a Napa River guide says)

swimbaits and ratLtraps worked last year. gotta change lures often to find out the hot one. but yes, its bait soaking season now.
