WARNING!!!!

Do not waste your money on any of Hurricane Tackle's Plugs. *Learn from my mistakes. *Hurricane Tackle makes Cotton Cordell Poppers look amazing. *At least Cotton Cordell knows how to build plugs the right way. *Hurrican Tackle is just plain crap, they use an eyelet screw to attach the split ring and treble hooks instead of a trough wire construction. *I'm no plug builder but i know what's crap and VERY Poor Design >:(

Doudble_D you got 3 keychains comin' this Saturday ;D

looks can be very deceiving. Don't buy plugs on e-bay not unless your 100% sure on what your purchasing.

My sister was telling me she just got a second chance to get some lures on E-Bay. 9 top water lures in boxes for 10.51 and 6 dollors for shiping. so I was looking at them and thinking Huricane. Wait dont buy them. So I had to take her down and show her the post. great job. I think it might be a good deal for Key chains or boat key holders.
Double D you want them :P

The "CRAP" plugs I don't know what they are, are they the Hurricane plugs?I would not have bought them just from looking at them. They look like cheap wannabe Gibb's Poppers. The "quality" plugs are Polaris Poppers built by Gibb's, they are legendary and my favorite popper of all time. When the surf is at it's most violent and other poppers won't work, you can rely on a Polaris Popper. That's what they were built for. They have been catching fish for decades, and they're quaranteed! The thing about wooden poppers is, every once in awhile the manufacturer might produce one that doesn't cast quite right. If it's a Gibb's Polaris Popper or any of their other plugs, just send it back to them and they will replace it for free.

my dad has his own shop and makes wood anything and has for many years. and he was looking at my good top water plugs and said I can make that. his only question was what type of wood to use. let me know. he never makes one of anything so he will make 100's. If they are good and don't sell in the country where there is no ocean. i might end up with a bunch to share. I told him make some and I will try them out but I know he will make a 100+ of every design.

Many of the builders use Alaskan Yellow Cedar or AYC. It is fairly expensive, but has qualities that plug builders look for. Easier to find and less expensive would be Western Red Cedar, White Cedar and Basswood. Look for the Cedars in Baluster or spindle form. If your dad makes some...please post some pix.

Gibb's poppers are made out of cedar, I'm a metal worker not a wood worker, and from reading some posts I guess there is more than one type of cedar. I'm not sure what kind Gibb's poppers are made with, I just know they are cedar. I've read that cedar casts better and has better bouyancy than most other types of wood.
